Meet the team
The staff of the Visitor Centre work as a team and strive to ensure that the centre maintains its reputation for service. The team greatly values the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and are especially proud to inform guests of the beauty surrounding Williams Lake. The diversity of the area is absolutely astounding and the rest of the province is beginning to figure that out.
The team members are truly meant to be in tourism and customer service. "We have the best job! We interact with visitors from all over the world in a variety of ways, whether its providing information, serving a cup of coffee of helping to find the perfect souvenir", says one team member.
The team enjoys having the flexibility to bring new and exciting products into the gift shop. They are able to take advantage of, and tailor their products to, new trends that their customers are looking for. The team believes that it is important for the Visitor Centre to be able to showcase as much of Williams Lake as possible by offering many locally-made goods. A team member states that, "the people of Williams Lake have a ton of talent, so why not show it off? That way guests have the chance to take a little piece of the Cariboo back with them."
"We also enjoy locals coming in for a cup of coffee, or to look for a unique gift. The regulars become friends!" another team member adds.
