The Guitar Seller

Arts-Music & Entertainment

The Guitar Seller is your community music store with more. Shiny, beautiful guitars line the walls, begging to be played. This store isn’t just for guitar players, they carry everything from ukuleles, mandolins and electric or acoustic drums to PA systems and beyond.

From the age of five or six, many kids are ready to begin their musical debut. The Guitar Seller features two guitar teachers for lessons on-site and will happily rent you any equipment necessary to help you find you’re groove while at home. For those who are seeking an instructor other than guitars, The Guitar Seller possesses a teacher directory.

“We want to help you even if we aren’t the ones to receive your business,” states owner, Brian Sawyer. The Guitar Seller is a perfect place to come hang out, talk music and try out that new guitar. It’s a welcoming business, so come in and introduce yourself.

The Guitar Seller will help you discover the budding musician waiting within.

Meet Brian Sawyer

Meet Brian Sawyer

For Brian Sawyer, there is no better place to live than Williams Lake. The Cariboo region provides some of the best scenery around, from Horsefly and Likely Lakes to the sprawling countryside, northern BC is where it’s at. “The closeness of the community is great and it’s the best when you come home and you’re recognized,” says Brian.

Brian has spent most of his life in Williams Lake and has created a legacy of three children and nine grandchildren who are following in his footsteps as small-town lovers. Two of his grand-kids even take guitar lessons with their grandpa!

Music came naturally for the entrepreneur. He’s been playing in numerous bands all throughout the Cariboo for decades. Starting off as just a hobby quickly transpired into a full-fledged passion and business endeavour. Brian has been in business for forty years and doesn’t feel as though he’s worked a day in his life.
