This husband and wife team are no strangers to the Cariboo region. Janet and Chuck are long term residents that cherish the country feel that Williams Lake provides and have lived in Williams Lake for over 45 years!

"Small town business certainly has its rewards, you get to know your clients and their personal needs. Happy customers will continuously come back and advertising can be relatively inexpensive. "Word of mouth spreads fast," says Janet. She is grateful that her business allows her to choose her own tempo and loves that there is no ceiling to her creativity.

“You're not just a number in the phone book,” says Janet when asked her favourite part of living in a small town. "You get to know your neighbours and you don't have to travel very far to be out in the country.” Janet smiles when she says how impressed she is with the variety and quality of craftsmanship from other local artists in her community.

Janet hopes that the shopping local initiative will continue to grow and expand in Williams Lake. "In order to avoid shutters over windows, everyone needs to do their part to shop in Williams Lake." Janet replies when asked what supports local entrepreneurs. She frequently supports other local businesses by shopping at locations such as The Farmers Market, Ibea's Quilt Shop and Blocks are Us.
