Meet Britny Parker
Meet Britny Parker
Britny Parker returned to her hometown of Williams Lake in the fall of 2017 to pursue her dream of owning her own athletic rehabilitation business. She found her passion a few years prior while studying health sciences in Victoria. As an athlete who endured many injuries over time, Britny understands the emotional and physical toll that athletes experience both on and off the field. She is inspired to be a part of their recovery journey and guide them to their improved sense of self.
Upon reconnecting with her roots, Britny found herself melding back into the slower pace of life of Williams Lake. Britny says that everyone knows everyone and folks in Williams Lake are so supportive of small business success.
Through word of mouth, the Cariboo Active Therapy owner is thriving with new clients and is passionate about maintaining her current ones. Britny spends more one-on-one time with athletes than most clinics are able to and this is a true testament to her hard work and dedication to the athletes that need her.
In between scheduled rehabilitation appointments, Britny enjoys spending time exploring the region with her partner and their beloved husky. The trio especially loves the River Valley Trail - a trail system found within city limits and yet worlds away from civilization. “There is a surplus of outdoor recreation in the area and I love being in a town where everyone shares the same enthusiasm for the outdoors as I do,” exclaims Britny.
