The Country Cupboard is home to a wide variety of unique, unusual, extraordinary and one-of-a-kind gifts. Hand-poured fudge, knitted slippers, specialty candles and delectable Roger’s Chocolates are just a few of the many items you’ll find inside the country-style boutique. The Country Cupboard shares the same store space as Studio X, a contemporary salon providing haircuts and colouring plus a range of spa and esthetic services.

Meet Nikki Martens-Pickett
If entrepreneurialism is a gene, then Nikki Martens-Pickett was born with it. DNA or not, she was bound to own her own business since she was raised in a family of business owners. Nikki was born and raised in Vanderhoof, she left for a while to travel, but eventually, her roots drew her back and she's thrilled to be home and proud to be a part of the local business community.
Besides being surrounded by family in Vanderhoof, Nikki loves the community for its natural, rural setting and its small-town, close-knit feel. She supports numerous outdoors and sports-related charities and groups, including hockey and golf tournaments, and the Nechako Valley Exhibition. Her favourite way to enjoy the outdoors herself is from the back of her Harley.
