Meet Nikki Martens-Pickett
Nikki Martens-Pickett's roots in Vanderhoof go deep. Born and raised in Vanderhoof, Nikki traveled around the world for a few years but found that she couldn't stay away, so she came back to settle down and go into business. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Nikki always knew she would one day open her own business. "Everyone in my family owns their own businesses," she notes. Entrepreneurship was built into her DNA. Besides the opportunities to problem-solve and to be creative, that business ownership brings, Nikki has the additional thrill of putting smiles on people's faces with her finished products. Everyone loves to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers or balloons, she notes. As for life in Vanderhoof, Nikki says, "I guess I have a serious case of Small Town Love!"
