Cold Fire Creek Dogsledding offers guests and residents an authentic, hands-on, northern dogsledding experience. Seven days a week from mid-November to mid-April, outdoor adventurers can enjoy spectacular backwoods scenery and even get up-close-and-personal with their dogs. Their mission is to provide an exhilarating and safe dogsledding experience deep into the heart of the Canadian Rockies, behind a team of enthusiastic and friendly Alaskan Huskies. Their professional guides will teach you all the important aspects of driving a dog team of your own. You can participate as much or little as you like. Try the ever popular “Moonshiners of Whiskey Creek Tour,” a three hour tour with a trail-side camp fire lunch!

Meet Amanda Sinclair

Amanda Sinclair is a born trailblazer and it was through a labour of love that she began Cold Fire Creek Dogsledding 15 years ago. In spite of the fact that dogsledding is truly Canadian, most Canadians have never tried it. Amanda wanted to change that by operating her business in Valemount - a perfect place with lots of snow and an abundance of natural beauty. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and mush dogs. Local groups that she supports include Winter Festivals, Scouts Canada and anything to do with children.
