Caribou Grill
Patricia and Rudi Thoni have been operating the Caribou Grill out of their authentic log building since 1999. The backwoods log cabin, country feel is what makes Valemount such a wonderful place to live. The inside of the building is decorated with wildlife mounts, native artifacts, leather art and high back chairs which makes for a comfortable and unique dining experience. To take you deeper into the dining experience, the Triple A beef steaks, fresh prime rib or wild salmon are some of the many items the Caribou Grill has to offer. You could also choose from one of the ten select international wines that are waiting for you. Feel like something out of the ordinary? Perhaps try one of their elk steaks. The Caribou Grill is truly unique and mirrors Valemount’s distinctive personality.

Patricia and Rudi took what they knew was a great idea, "stuck their necks out" and opened up the Caribou Grill. This has led to an adventure of being an entrepreneur, showing their passion and creativity that have customers routinely coming back to this beautifully-constructed log building. The personality that is evoked from this building is merely a reflection of Patricia and Rudi’s favourite activities including hiking through the back country, skiing on northern BC Mountains and being actively involved in Tourism Valmeount as well as the Valemount Chamber of Commerce. This shows how deeply they believe that, "Valemount has amazing potential that is being tapped into more and more every year, and will only keep getting better!"
