Mumford’s Beerhouse and Grill
Mumford’s Beerhouse and Grill is the perfect place to go for an appetizing bistro-style lunch or dinner, an after work beer or meet for a late night drink with friends. Mumford’s proudly serves flavourful dishes with a modern flair prepared with quality, fresh ingredients. In fact, Mumford’s Beerhouse and Grill believes that food tastes best when it has been grown or raised close to home. That’s why it purchases ingredients that are grown or produced right here in the northwest whenever they are available. It also believes that fresh is always better than frozen, so it operates on a farm-to-table model so that you always get the best.
Mumford’s is well-known for its extensive variety of artisan martinis. It also serves a diverse selection of cocktails, ciders, coolers and, of course, beer. In fact, Mumford’s beer selection includes a tantalizing variety of BC beers as well as local craft beers, including Wheelhouse Brewing Company (Prince Rupert) and Sherwood Mountain (Terrace) varieties. If you can’t decide which one to try, sample four of them with Mumford’s beer flight. Special event catering is available.
Mumford’s Beerhouse and Grill is a member of the Terrace Chamber of Commerce and Terrace Tourism.

Meet Tyson & Christine Hull
Tyson Hull is not a follower. He has always preferred to take the path less travelled, so when the opportunity arose for he and his beautiful wife Christine to buy Mumford's in 2014, they jumped in. "I love pushing to try to create something from nothing. I love the challenge of building anything from scratch," Tyson says.
When it comes to doing business, Tyson is adamant about keeping things local. It's why Mumford's Beerhouse and Grill emphasizes foods grown or raised in the northwest. Not only does that ensure that you get better quality ingredients (and tastier dishes), "purchasing goods from your neighbour to use in your business means you're sending it 'down the line,'" Tyson says.
"You know that you are supporting businesses with the same values as yours." Not only that, but when neighbours buy from neighbours, there is a relationship between seller and buyer. Unlike purchasing food supplies on the Internet or over the phone, "you see the products you are purchasing."
Living and doing business in a small community like Terrace has numerous advantages and benefits. One of Tyson's favourite advantages: no traffic. He also appreciates that it has an expanse of outdoors in which to play or simply breathe in the fresh air. Most of all, Tyson is grateful that relationships characterize everything here. "I like knowing a group of people that you grow close ties with," he says.
