What’s the buzz in the Bulkley Valley? It’s Bulkley Valley Hive & Honey! Since 2018, this family owned apiary has been tending their honey bees for world class honey, and amazing apothecary products! What started out as a hobby, quickly expanded into a full time joy for the Doerksen family! Their happy bees have been growing exponentially and the products they create are delightful and endless! Everything from sweet smelling soaps (with fantastic names like the ‘Party Bar’) to moisture rich salves, bath bombs and salts, are all made in small batches with natural bee products and wild foraged goods!
Of course, the star of the show is their wild flower honey, with a slightly darker colour from all the abundance of flowers, Bulkley Valley Hive & Honey have bottled liquid gold!
You can find Bulkley Valley Hive & Honey in a variety of Northern BC communities, like Prince George and Smithers (check their Facebook for full details). They also take orders, have farm gate sales (on select days) and are able to ship!

Meet Breeann & Trevor Doerksen
Owners Breeann and Trevor Doerksen started their beekeeping journey as a hobby that grew into a passionate small business! They love the connection to nature, through the bees and wild foraging that their business provides them. Working with the land provides Breeann, Trevor and their two children a wonderful life, one they are so happy to be in the Bulkley Valley with! Being entrepreneurs allows Breeann and Trevor the ability to provide a positive and economic future for their children. The Doerksens are also so thankful for their small community, its support and all the wonderful people who call it home!
