Jennifer Hylkema and Francis Hylkema are avid world travellers, seeing many beautiful places over the course of their lives. One place in particular has lured their hearts in for the long haul, causing the retired business duo to recently plant some roots in the beloved town of Smithers. There's something about the cohesiveness of the community along with the warm and amicable people, all situated in an outstandingly beautiful valley, that made the choice easy for the Hylkemas.
Looking for a means to channel excess energy, Jennifer and Francis felt that entrepreneurship may be an undiscovered calling. After countless weeks of extensive renovations, the dream of an upscale bed and breakfast was finally coming to fruition. Jennifer says that they are excited to promote the beauty of the natural environment and the many talents of the local people.
