Meet Austin Currah
Austin and his family moved to Smithers from Alberta in 2009. The beautiful, scenic surroundings and epic mountain biking drew them to the area and they haven’t looked back since. “We wanted to raise our kids in a small community with access to amazing outdoor recreation,” says Austin. From exciting skiing to the lively music scene, Smithers has it all.
As a Red Seal-certified Welder for over a decade, Austin has his fair share of experience in the welding and fabricating industry. He carried over his successful business from his previous community, filling a much-needed service for the community of Smithers.
Being an entrepreneur certainly has its perks. Austin enjoys a flexible schedule that allows him to remain involved in the lives of his two daughters. For this family man, his children mean everything and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
