Meet Kat Stroet
Shop owner, Kat Stroet, along with her design staff, sometimes can't believe they get to come to work and create beautiful floral arrangements every day. Kat, who notes that her job experience is vast and varied, says that purchasing the business was a natural progression in her career and enjoys the challenge of running a small independent business in a small town.
According to Kat, "We're small but we're not small minded. There is such a diverse selection of people from so many walks of life and educational backgrounds. We are sophisticated, but still down to earth and most people live here because they want to." After moving to Smithers, from Vancouver in 1990, Kat was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the locals and their willingness to embrace her. She says that "Everyone has their place in a small town and you're not just another face in the crowd."
Kat naturally has a love for greenery and the earth. When she isn't working she's often found working in her garden. "If only there were more hours in the day and more gardening months here in the north!” When she's not gardening she likes to spend her time hanging out with family and friends.
