Tyler Ferster and Bryce Miller went into business partly to fill an important need within the community of Smithers, where specialized equipment is needed to work and play here. But another big reason, says Tyler, was to build a future for his family. Tyler and Bryce consider the business an investment in their collective futures, and they appreciate the freedom that entrepreneurship affords them. "Working for yourself makes all the hard work more rewarding," Tyler says. He feels fortunate to have a very capable, professional staff behind him. "They always strive to do the best job for our customers."

Bryce and Tyler both deeply appreciate the high quality of living that is available in Smithers. Affordable housing, friendly residents and spectacular natural scenery combine to make it an amazing place to live. Tyler feels that there is a palpable sense of community spirit here that helps to distinguish Smithers from other communities. He also stresses that local business owners are especially dedicated to Smithers. "They work very hard to better themselves and the community." He has seen local businesses rise to the challenge of competition from larger companies and big box stores and offer better, more efficient service and quality products in order to remain successful. Tyler is especially fond of Rayz Board Shop, noting that it is a prime example of a business that works hard to better the community.
