Ocean View Restaurant

Robb and Lorelei Krueger and their family moved to Daajing Giids around the year of 2000 in order to be closer to Robb's family. Robb, a welder, got a job in the logging industry. But when the logging industry went through changes a few years later, he found himself out of work and facing a potential move. The Kruegers had grown attached to the islands which had quickly become home to them, so rather than move off-island they knew they needed to find new opportunities within Daajing Giids. Robb, who grew up in an entrepreneurial family, saw business ownership as the answer and suggested starting a restaurant.

Lorelei, who had just a couple of years of restaurant experience and no entrepreneurial background was a bit skeptical. But her husband had a vision and convinced her they would be able to run a successful restaurant. They started Ocean View Restaurant from scratch in 2004 and have sustained themselves on their business venture.ever since. Lorelei's skepticism made way for the perks of business ownership, like being able to cast their own vision for their businesses and being able to set their own hours so that they could be available to their families. And though it often means working long hours, the rewards have been worth it for the couple.

Almost all of Rob and Lorelei's kids have grown up and moved out now, with the exception of one teen who keeps them busy at home. When they manage to steal some free time Rob and Lorelei usually spend it together enjoying the outdoors, combing the beaches for treasures, going for sightseeing drives around the island, taking camping trips or cozying up with a good movie on a rainy day.
