Meet Janess Iverson
Janess Iverson has been entertaining visitors from places all over the world since opening The Tides Bed & Breakfast in 2007. One of the things she most enjoys about her job is learning about her guests' backgrounds and hearing their diverse and unique stories. She likes to talk too, sharing information about Prince Rupert, a community and a region that she loves and is strongly connected to. Her roots are here in Prince Rupert and there is no other place she'd rather live than in her restored heritage home with its spectacular harbor view surrounded by greenery.
Janess has a passion for tourism and hospitality, a proclivity that has served her well in a community that is tourism-driven. Being a small, close-knit community has made it easy for Janess to network with other local tourism businesses and service providers in order to create an enhanced experience for visitors to Prince Rupert. Janess notes that there is a tremendous culture of respect among local business owners and that each one values the other and their unique contributions to tourism and the community at large.
In fact, says Janess, the Prince Rupert business community should be especially proud. She notes that there are some fabulous restaurants here that rival any in a big city. She believes that there is much to appreciate about Prince Rupert and many opportunities here.
