Purple Moose Portraits
Purple Moose Portraits offers a portrait experience unlike any other. Photographer Jen Keim combines natural light and directed posing, with insightful artistry and emotional intuition to create beautiful portraits that capture and shows you how your loved ones see you. This unique and empowering experience begins with a personal consultation where you get to know Jen and she can find out “How do you want to be photographed? Is there anyone you want to be photographed with?” Jen plans your shoot and your professional makeup and hairstyling so you leave feel confident and prepared.
After your day with Jen, she professionally edits, prints, mats and displays 25 of your portraits on the wall for your reveal one week later. “The reveal can be rushed to four days if you have someone visiting from out of town. I feel it is an incredibly important part of what we offer, that everyone should experience seeing a wall of their images in the best light,” explained Jen.
What is the pricing? Jen says portraits are al la carte, which means that you buy what you love, as her job is to take beautiful photographs so you love them all. Your session fee includes the overall experience along with the makeover.
This empowering experience is all about you seeing your inner beauty shine through, celebrating what makes you. Purple Moose Portraits specializes in women’s portraiture but they love having mothers and daughters, sons and fathers in their studio as well. For a really fun session, Jen suggests that you bring along your friends and/or your sisters and have a wonderful girls day!

Meet Jen Keim
Jen has always been interested in photography, when learning about entrepreneurship and how much that took from self value. "I had to learn to love and treat myself with encouragement and love, I was still learning to cope with PTSD, anxiety and depression. So, it was a real shock and I realized how incredibly value the ability to look at yourself with love is."
That's what Jen wants to show anyone she photographs. She wants to show them they're this incredible range of strong, smart, sexy and feminine, from the powerful mom to the incredibly independent woman. When Jen is asked if she photographs men, it's a definite YES - in fact, she says, men are hard to convince to have their portraits done and she thinks it is equally important for men to see themselves as these incredible men of strength and depth. "All sexes and ages need self-love," says Jen.
One of Jen's other loves is local food. "Prince George should feel proud - there is such a wide range of fantastic local restaurants to choose from. She says she is always happy to point her clients and friends towards a local restaurant that suits their individual tastes. Some of Jen's favourites are Pho U and Me, Sendos, Cimo Mediterranean Grill and Nancy O's.
