Meet Esther Schwenning
Ester and her relatives have taken the term “family bond” to a whole new level. The specialized dental practitioner is one of SEVEN denturists practicing in her family!
Her uncle, who trained in Germany, was the original member of the oral healthcare team and was the one to provide Ester with her first after school job.
Ester made her jump into business ownership in 2011 by opening up the Northern Lights Denture Clinic. “I enjoy operating my own business,” says Ester. “It gives me the freedom to grow and adapt my skills. My team and I are passionate about the field and are always looking to further our education and patient care. I believe the sky is the limit.”
“Northern Lights Denture Clinic is also a teaching facility,” says Esther. “I’m pleased to host training sessions locally that bring people to learn, stay and shop in my hometown. “Small business is the backbone of Canada and I’m proud that my business created five new jobs in the first five years of operation.
I am thankful to be able to do this alongside the great group of strong women that I have at the Clinic.”
Being born and raised in Prince George gives Ester a special understanding of the town. She believes the size of the community facilitates a unique opportunity to connect to other residents.
“It offers all the services and amenities of a big city, but still retains that special small town feel,” she says. “Everyone has a connection which creates common bonds, there are ties throughout this entire community.”
The entrepreneur is passionate about giving back to her home and is proud to contribute to many local events and groups.
She loves to spend her spare time with her large family, enjoying everything this beautiful community has to offer; lake days in the summer and skiing in the winter.
