Meet Paul Williams
Meet Paul Williams
Paul Williams remembers being a young boy and listening to the stories his dad would tell about his work at the family business. They made an impression on Paul that lasted throughout his childhood, and he always thought that being in business sounded very exciting. It was those early impressions that caused him to join the family business as an adult. Today he is the one in charge, and he is proud to be carrying on a tradition that was started by his grandfather back in 1920. Both his grandfather and his dad were community-minded citizens and believed in good old-fashioned, honest customer service. It is a legacy that Paul and his wife Joan strive to perpetuate as they grow the business into the 21st century.
Paul has spent most of his life in Prince George and believes it is a community that is rich with culture and diversity. It is small enough to offer an affordable lifestyle, but still has the amenities of a big city. It offers access to comprehensive health care and a wide variety of activities and recreational opportunities to pursue. Paul is into outdoor sports and, depending on the season, you might find him biking or hiking Prince George's many trails or skiing at one of the area's many ski hills.
McInnis Lighting has seen many changes in the business community over the years. Paul himself has seen a few changes, but he believes that Prince George will always be a good place to invest in. He's pleased to see an increasing number of UNBC graduates starting up businesses in town, and younger people, in general, bringing a fresh perspective to the community. He's confident that, here in Prince George, "there will always be new and exciting opportunities for anyone who is willing."
