In the pursuit of creating the best locally cured meats available, five local friends and entrepreneurs collaborated their talents with the aims to bring their vision to fruition. William Miller, Brian Quarmby, Warren Sunstrum, Garrett Fedorkiw and Eoin Foley together make up the dream team that is Birch & Boar. Each player contributes an essential role that fosters a well-oiled machine. William, Brian and Warren are undeniably the culinary geniuses, all with impressive resumes and accolades. Garrett and Eoin are known for their savvy business sense and as the solid partnership responsible for the local foodie favourites Nancy O's and Betulla Burning.
What began as a small venture at weekly farmers markets has quickly transformed into a full-fledged storefront in less than a year! It's been a whirlwind process, and yet the goal of the dynamic five to provide the community with high quality, local options for food has never been lost. “We also have a passion for utilizing all the best of our local farms-,” says Brian. “which gives us what we feel is an edge over the rest of the province in delivering something unique to our region and yet so uniquely Prince George at the same time.”
