Meet Tse'khene Community Development Corporation

Led by a volunteer-run board of directors consisting primarily of local band members, Tse’Khene Community Development Corporation encourages the enhancement and growth of the Tse’Khene First Nations community within McLeod Lake. The corporation aims to “support, coordinate and facilitate business and community development activities that will improve the quality of life for McLeod Lake Tse’Khene."

The board of directors are dedicated to upholding the values of the corporation and supporting their local economy. Small businesses and artisans are featured within the Cafe and Bed and Breakfast and additionally, the site is used as a venue for community events such as craft fairs.

Without the support of the residents, Tse’Khene Community Development Corporation wouldn’t have the opportunity to run such an establishment. The Business Development Officer, Deborah Prince says McLeod Lake is a gem because of “the community support, the family atmosphere and the loyalty and faith of our family and friends.”
