Tapping With Kathy
Are you looking for stress relief or freedom from acute or chronic pain? EFT (emotional freedom technique), also referred to as “tapping” and sometimes called “emotional acupuncture,” may work even when nothing else has. EFT involves gently tapping with the fingertips on various acupressure points on the body. The procedure is similar to acupuncture, but no needles are involved. The EFT procedure is completely non-invasive, and sessions can be conducted in-person, over the phone or online. EFT can be an effective treatment for pain, stress and anxiety, weight loss, depression and other conditions that haven’t responded positively to other types of treatments. Kathy Dugan is an Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner who has benefited herself from EFT treatment. Tapping with Kathy offers free 20 minute consultations to new clients who are interested in exploring what the procedure is like and whether it will work for them.

Meet Kathy Dugan
Kathy Dugan had battled severe sciatic pain for quite some time and had tried a variety of different treatments in an effort to relieve her symptoms, including prescription pain relievers. She was never able to experience anything better than temporary pain relief, and nothing close to a real solution to the root of the problem. She remembers reaching a point of desperation and thinking "there has to be a better solution." So she began surfing the Web, searching anything and everything to do with pain relief. After a few hours of searching, she came across EFT, a technique that she had never heard of, and one of only a very small percentage of possible solutions she hadn't already tried without success. Though a bit skeptical, she began undergoing EFT, or "tapping" sessions. To her surprise and relief, she noticed a difference almost immediately. Within just a few sessions, she had completely recovered from sciatica. "This is how I know it works, it worked for me!" she declares.
She was so enthusiastic about the results that she received, she felt like she needed to make this available to other people. Kathy completed her Level Three EFT course in August of 2015 and is now providing treatments here in Mackenzie. One of the great things about EFT, Kathy points out, is that it doesn't necessarily have to be done in person. Sessions can be conducted by phone or online, too, so she is able to provide her services to and from virtually any location.
Kathy is a rural girl at heart who loves living on her property several kilometres outside of town. There she has immediate, back door access to forest and wilderness, the perfect set up for someone like her who would rather spend time outdoors than in. She engages in outdoor activity as often as possible and even likes doing the sorts of chores that others dislike, such as wood chopping and snow shoveling. It keeps her active, something that she has a whole new appreciation for now that she is pain-free.
