Mackenzie Golf and Country Club

Golf

This modest 9 hole mountain-style golf course, located a four minute drive from downtown Mackenzie, is beloved by the town and its golfers. Built in the early 1970s by Mackenzie residents with the help of old-fashioned elbow grease and machinery, they carved the nine holes out of the forest and hilly terrain.

At only 3300 yards from the blues, this is not the longest of tracks, but with five strategically-placed bunkers and every hole lined with trees, you’ll be happy that you can reach most greens in regulation with a tee shot you can still see. They also have a memorial gazebo and outhouse-style washroom, should you need a little break.

After your round, you can relax and enjoy some food and beverages from the Mosquito Grill. The pub style food will let you enjoy a yummy treat that will delight, even if you have just suffered a defeat on the green (or help you keep your grin after a win!). The course holds a food license as well as a liquor license. They ask that you please remember that off-course alcohol is prohibited.

MGCC supports many of Mackenzie’s businesses by putting on tournaments and events. With food and golf rates for any type of groups size rental.

Currently the course is run by an executive board that decides all of the day-to-day activities on the course. The board appreciates the wealth of experience their on-course, proshop and clubhouse employees bring to work every day. While they cannot control bad weather, rest assured that the Mackenzie Golf and Country Club team is working hard on that as well!

Over years of operation MGCC has found that their best workers and managers have been Mackenzie residents and strive to keep it that way for years to come.
