Christine loves Mackenzie's friendly atmosphere and the quick access to wonderful wilderness opportunities. "The outdoors is all around us to do lots of activities from walking to kayaking, fishing and skiing all within minutes of anyone's front door," said Christine. She enjoys loading up her kayak on a calm day and going exploring on the many lakes around town. Morfee Lake is a beautiful spot that she says "has all the serenity that anyone could wish for." Christine also likes to sit back and read a good book in a quiet place.

After working for the District as a lifeguard for twenty years, Christine found she needed a change of pace. "I've always loved painting anything from wall murals in the pool to just plain walls in our house so I figured painting inside of houses would fill my love of changing the looks of things!" Christine started her own painting company, Brush & Roll Painting, in 2012. Being an entrepreneur allows her to set her own hours and she finds she is able to fit the needs of customers whenever it is convenient for both the client and herself. Christine prides herself of delivering top-quality work and great customer service. She appreciates that recommendations travel easily in Mackenzie and is grateful to her past clients for their praise. Christine has been able to maintain a steady schedule and likes doing business in Mackenzie where she knows most of her customers and is able to get to and from job sites easily.
