Highland Valley Foods has been a part of the Logan Lake community for years, but took an upward turn when owner Randy Somogyi took over the business in 2006. Since his arrival on the scene, the store has undergone a number of changes which has helped strengthen its presence in the community and residents are thrilled to have a place to shop for all those food and household essentials without having to leave Logan Lake.
Highland Valley Foods carries a wide selection of brand name food and groceries including a wide selection of tagged gluten-free products. It also houses a full-service deli, meat department, produce department and baked goods department. Meet Randy Somogyi
When Randy Somogyi bought Highland Valley Foods in 2006, he had big plans for the store that had been an important part of life in Logan Lake for so many years. Randy and his friendly, knowledgeable staff made numerous improvements, both to the store itself and to the way they do business. Today Randy is proud of the store's variety of local and BC products, fresh produce, baked goods and gourmet foods. What Randy most enjoys about running a small business in Logan Lake is the people, which includes both his staff and the shoppers that sustain Highland Valley Foods. Randy and Highland Valley Foods donate extensively to the community, helping with fundraisers for a wide variety of causes. Randy also runs a community rewards program where one charitable organization is selected and for the month of May they receive a percentage of sales from specified products.
