Seed to Culture

Agriculture & Food Production

Seed to Culture is a small scale vegetable farm and fermented food processor with a retail outlet in Lillooet. Their products are small scale, probiotic rich, raw and unpasteurized, promoting healthy guts and happy bodies.

A market farm for over 10 years, Seed to Culture launched their fermented food line in 2018. All the vegetables they use in their products are grown on their farm, and harvested fresh in the morning before the fermenting process begins. Unique and delicious, their products range from a variety of sauerkrauts to the best dill pickles ever.

With regenerative farming practices, and organic growing, Seed to Culture is well on its way to its goal of creating an ecologically, environmentally, and physiologically regenerative business that provides the community with a source of locally produced healthy and delicious food.

If you can’t make it to the farm, you can check Seed to Culture’s website for a list of all the fantastic retailers in British Columbia.

Meet Jill Miners & Christoph Miles

Meet Jill Miners & Christoph Miles

Owner Jill Miners has always been passionate about farming and fermenting, so she thought, why not turn it into a business? After leaving Vancouver in search of inexpensive farm-able land in a small community, she met her partner Christoph who had been farming in Lillooet for four years at the time. Once they teamed up and combined efforts, Seed to Culture was well on its way. Jill and Christoph both enjoy being their own bosses and setting their own schedules. They say there is a passion and pride behind being a small independent business owner. The days are long, the work is hard, and they love it. Waking up everyday to do what you love is a dream come true.
