Meet Lindsay Gunderson

Lindsay Gunderson has had a lifelong love affair with horses. Riding has been a big part of her daily life for years as has equestrian sports. Lindsay has barrel raced all over BC and Alberta and though she took a break from it for a few years, she's back at it again.

Lindsay leads a busy life on the family's Hudson's Hope cattle ranch. She divides her time between treating horses, riding, racing and working on the ranch, all the while being Mom to three young children. She admits that it can be a bit of a balancing act, but that is one thing she appreciates about working for herself. "I can work as much or as little as I want, so that I can be available for my kids," she says. Lindsay's children have inherited their mother's penchant for horses, so many of their activities also centre around riding.

The idea of becoming a certified equine lameness practitioner was simply a natural thing to pursue, born out of Lindsay's love for horses. She is proud to be able to provide a holistic and non-invasive approach to caring for horses with pain or lameness stemming from acute or chronic injury. Lindsay's biggest reward is being able to help a horse move from a place of pain to restoration of health and ability. It affects a horse's entire disposition both physically and emotionally, and often the progress doesn't end with the horse. Horse owners, who tend to have very strong bonds with their horses, also gain a new found sense of emotional strength when they see and experience the difference treatment has made.
