Miake Elliot may have a not-so-secret love affair with animals, making a point to include them in all of her business ventures. It all started with a registered goat farm bred for milk, and more recently, Miake has expanded into retail featuring pet supplies and other adventure goodies. Her second small business came about upon noticing a lack of services in the region. “It's spawned from the vision that I can generate the kind of retail practices that have impacted my past purchases and experiences,” says Miake. Contributing toward local non-profit groups and community events has always been a priority for the entrepreneur, and as an avid volunteer herself, the Pawesome owner manages to connect to life in Houston wholeheartedly. She also takes full advantage of the wonderous outdoor recreational opportunities, including activities such as mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and of course, her beloved goat farm.
