Meet Maureen Czirfusz

Houston Visitor Centre coordinator Bonnie Perepelecta gets to meet all kinds of different people from locations all over BC, Canada and the US every single day. It is one of the things that keeps her job exciting and interesting, and she has directed people to just about every corner of northern BC and beyond in her time with the Visitor Centre.

The centre is operated by the Houston Chamber of Commerce and staffed with people like Bonnie, Kim Lavigne and Maureen Czirfusz whose job is to promote tourism and the economy. They are proud to help visitors to the region discover the many amazing places to see here in northern BC and particularly in Houston. That includes the visible ones, like downtown shops and restaurants, but also those "hidden" places, like all of the fantastic hiking trails that surround the area.

The Visitor Centre staff all agrees that Houston is a spectacular place to live and work. "You can really feel like you are a part of the community here," says Maureen. "It's small enough that you can know just about everyone, and everyone is friendly."
