Registered midwifery is regulated by the BC government, and all midwifery services are covered under regular MSP care plans. Skeena Midwives is committed to culturally safe and holistic care. We believe that the health of life-givers and babies ripples into family and community well-being and feel fortunate to share such a profound time with people.

Skeena Midwives is able to offer a wide range of prenatal, delivery and postpartum services, including a personalized birthing plan (including both home or hospital birthing options), regular exams, lab and ultrasound referrals, prescriptions for pregnancy-related needs, postpartum home visits and breastfeeding support.

Carmen Wiebe
Carmen grew up in the Hazeltons on Gitxsan territory and has a strong commitment to and love of the area. She did her
midwifery training at Laurentian University in Ontario and joined the practice in 2018. In her time off, Carmen enjoys outdoor
recreation and making music. You can find her out and about in town and on the trails with her husband, son, and two
doggos.

Hana Lang
Hana was raised on a farm, her first experiences of birth were of the animal variety. By a weird twist of fate she found herself
working in Hazelton as a gardener while taking a break from Toronto midwifery. She joined Skeena Midwives in 2020 (as a
midwife not a gardener) and hasn’t looked back since. You can find her chugging iced coffee from Zelda’s most days.
