Meet Brandi Nash
Brandi Nash spent her growing up years in the Hazeltons. Like many rural youth, she moved away as a young adult. However, she always considered the Kispiox Valley her home, and the pull of home was always strong. It was so strong, in fact, that she would eventually move back and settle down her to start and raise her own family.
In fact, Brandi has many wonderful memories of her own growing up years in the Hazeltons, and she feels grateful that she's able to pass on many of those same experiences to her daughter. For starters, the magnificent scenery sets an amazing backdrop for everything that the community has to offer. "I love how serene it is," she says. "The mountains and the rivers are inspiring and quieting for me at the same time."
Of course, the people are really what make this a wonderful place. "There is a real sense of community here," Brandi remarks. There are many clubs and organizations to get involved with and people who are committed to making the Hazeltons a rich place to live. Brandi herself serves as the co-artistic director for the Kispiox Valley Music Festival. She also points out that there are some incredible business people and business advocates in the Hazeltons who are dedicated to the cause of promoting the region and attracting new businesses. Most of all, "the community is really behind their local businesses." Brandi experienced that firsthand when she started her massage practice in 2014 and she is deeply grateful for all of the support she has received.
