Fraser Lake and Area MenShed
The Fraser Lake and Area MenShed provides men the opportunity to gather in support of each other. There isn’t much like it currently in existence. The mental and physical benefits that a space of this nature will provide for men can improve the cohesiveness of the entire community.
Men are welcome to partake in various workshops, social and mentorship gatherings. There is a $20 membership fee, which grants access to daily weekday workshop gatherings from 10 am until 2 pm.
An ongoing, daily garage sale is where the bulk of funding comes from, so feel free to come on by and have a look, or donate your gently used items.
Many prospective projects will include community services for those who need it, such as transportation assistance, moving, small home and yard repairs and general maintenance. Feel free to donate your gently used tools, equipment and materials towards their efforts.
A special thank you from The Fraser Lake and Area Menshed to all our supporters and contributors to assist in startup and for supporting our project workshop. The workshop will provide a space for members to create projects in and around our community.
Calling all men – report to the Fraser Lake and Area MenShed for some serious man time. You’ll feel good doing it!

Meet the Fraser Lake & Area Menshed Members
The Menshed was created in 2017 by a group of local men and grew into an active volunteer organisation. The Menshed is operated by volunteers and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. They have regular monthly meetings but meet every Wednesday for discussion and to deal with day-to-day activities. New members are always welcome and invited to attend anytime.
The Menshed supports men of all ages and from all walks of life. Their aim is to support the mental and physical health of men through social engagement, encouraging creativity and fostering strong social connections. The overall goal of the group is to create a safer and more enjoyable place for all residents.
The Fraser Lake & Area Menshed is open to future growth and encourages ideas on how to support others in our community and area.
