Meet Joanne Kim, Van Kim, Abraham Kwak & Paul Park

According to Joanne Kim, Fort St. James may be a small town, but it has big energy. It was that big energy that drew her and her business partners to invest in Fort St. James. "It is very different here than the city," says Joanne. Here, neighbours are friendly and people take the time to say hi and to get to know each other. It's one of the things that makes doing business here a joy.

Another thing that Joanne likes about Fort St. James is the outdoors and the natural environment. "My family loves the atmosphere here," she says, and Joanne especially likes to take walks around the lake to relax after a busy day at work.

Joanne and her business partners did a great deal of research when they were deciding where to invest their money and skills. They finally settled on Fort St. James because they believed it had so much to offer both to tourists as well as to those who call it "home." In addition to the many wonderful things to do both indoors and out, Joanne points out that the Fort St. James National Historic Park adds a great deal of character and culture to the city. Not only does it provide a glimpse into the rich history of the area, but it also offers activities and opportunities for interaction with history and with other people.
