Krista and Ingmar came to Denny Island to study Sandhill cranes in 2007 and soon knew it was home. “We love the freedom of living in a remote location and the small communities of Denny Island and Bella Bella” said Krista. “Our kids love it too. People here are so friendly,” said Ingmar.
Their family enjoys beachcombing and exploring the many beautiful spots close by – the bays, beaches, estuaries, bogs and forests. Krista and Ingmar appreciate, “the beauty of the land and waters, the relatively mild climate, and the no car culture.” “We appreciate getting to live in Heiltsuk territory – this area has been stewarded by the Heiltsuk people for thousands of years,” said Ingmar.
Krista and Ingmar started their home-based business, C’idawai Point Cabins, in 2012. They are pleased to offer unique accommodation where their guests are comfortable, happy, and return year after year.
