When an opportunity arose for Chris Webber to take control of a business that had been operating for over 65 years, he couldn’t pass it up. “I was looking for new challenges,” says the entrepreneur. Chris has now been the proud owner of Wright's Food Services for more than 10 years.
Chris finds that there is a great deal of satisfaction when the business does well and he is also delighted that his company is able to support the less fortunate. “Wright's Food Services is proud to support the local food bank, The Salvation Army and the Homeless Action Committee,” says Webber. He appreciates the feel of family and support that Dawson Creek exudes and he’s glad that his business keeps money within the community he calls home.
Knowing the importance of supporting other local business, Chris frequently chooses to shop locally in Dawson Creek. A few of his favourite places are Baked Café, Griffens, Fixx, Faking Sanity, Bings, Alcan, Vintage Love & Restoration, Country Lane, Olde Creek Store and B&T.
When he’s not working, Chris likes to enjoy time with his family, participate in local sports and spend time outdoors. He notes that the Rim Rocks, a stunning hiking spot, are a favourite of his, saying they are a great place to visit and explore.
