Meet Jack & Jacqui Walsh

Jack Walsh began his career in the service industry as a teenager working in a fast-food restaurant. Later on, as an adult, Jack purchased that very restaurant and ran it for thirty years. In the ensuing years, he worked in a variety of different service and sales positions, eventually purchasing Dawson Creek Mini-Storage which he still runs along with Hypertension Escape Bowling Lanes/Corner Pin Lounge which he and his wife, Jacqui Walsh, have owned since 2011.The bowling alley has been a fixture in the community for several decades and the Walsh's are proud to continue this longstanding tradition in Dawson Creek.

Jack was born and raised in Dawson Creek. He is very active in the community. A sports enthusiast, Jack has coached a variety of local sports throughout the years, particularly minor hockey, and continues to coach young bowlers. Though he doesn't have as much time as he would like, he enjoys playing sports when he can, especially golf and, of course, bowling. He also likes to cook and is the main chef for the catering side of the business.

One of the things that make his job so fun and rewarding are that Jack is able to combine his work with his passion for sports. The business encompasses several different leagues for both kids and adults. Jack is especially proud of the Special Olympics league. "It's really fulfilling to work with them," he states. He also likes being able to work with various community groups and clubs on their fundraising efforts.
