Michelle chose to open BF Collision because Dawson Creek was one of the few locations in the province that were under-serviced in her industry. "I am in a non-traditional role but I love it! I have been in the industry 20 years and still every day I surprise people," said Michelle. BF Collision has a small-sized staff at and they're happy to be part of a tight-knit team. They work together seamlessly and also enjoy their team dynamic outside of the workplace. "We are able to get together socially and enjoy each other's company," Michelle said, "not just in the office."
Michelle loves living in Dawson Creek. "Coming from a city," said Michelle, "I love being less than ten minutes away from everything." She admires the camaraderie amongst store owners and enjoys circulating the downtown businesses and saying hello to people in the various shops. This entrepreneur feels lucky to live in Dawson Creek where the people are friendly and the local economy is diversified with tourism, agriculture and the energy sector.
Being her own boss enables Michelle to make decisions that affect herself, her employees and their families. "I love it when we all succeed," says Michelle. "I'm proud of BF Collision and our staff. When a vehicle leaves here and the owner says they can't tell where you fixed it,"that means we have done our job." It brings Michelle satisfaction to see her talented staff jump in to help get people back on the road safely.
When Michelle isn't busy with operating BF Collision, she enjoys visiting family and travelling with her husband to tour different countries.
