Meet Josef & Elke Karcher

Meet Josef & Elke Karcher

Josef & Elke Karcher started their bed and breakfast business out of their great love of and connection to the outdoors. Their home is located just a ways outside of Chetwynd where they are literally surrounded on all sides by nature. They have a most amazing view of the Pine River, and they like to share that with their guests, along with their hospitality.

Living in the country means lots of outdoor activities for the couple and their children. Owning their own business means that they have flexibility with their time and control over their schedule. Josef, who is an avid hunter, takes advantage of this whenever he is able. He also likes to fish, and the entire family regularly gets outside for walks and hikes. Cooking and reading are also favourite downtime activities.

Josef and Elke deeply appreciate the lifestyle that rural Chetwynd and northern BC living provide them. The living is affordable and the scenery is unbeatable. There are many activities to participate in, both indoors and out, and community life is enriching. Events like the National Chainsaw Carving Championship is just one of the many local events that add to the culture of the community, and the Karchers are grateful to be a part of it all.
