Meet Pamela Derhousoff

Entrepreneurship is in Pamela Derhousoff’s genes. She comes from a family of self-starters and independent thinkers, so it seemed very natural for Pamela to pursue the idea of starting a small business. Establishing her businesses from scratch was a challenge.

Pamela is continually adding new products. Operating in a small town is advantageous in that Pamela knows most everyone who comes in, and it doesn’t take her long to get to know what her regular customers like and want. She is trying to bring in products to satisfy those needs, and customer input is always welcomed. “I love to make people happy,” says Pamela, noting that her reward is watching her customers leave with a smile.

Running errands around town often ends up turning into a social event, since everyone knows everyone else. You can’t help but stop and chat, or at least say hello. “We have a busy little town with potential for growth,” says Pamela. She has lived here for 38 years. She also enjoys gardening, cooking and sewing in her spare time.
