The Ashcroft HUB Society
A multipurpose space in the heart of Ashcroft, the HUB Society is a place for arts, culture, fitness and everything in between! An enterprising non-profit, the Ashcroft HUB was established in 2015, with the idea that living in a small community shouldn’t mean having to visit other towns to experience amenities and cultural events. Revitalizing and re-purposing the old elementary school building meant ample space for programs to grow and develop. Offerings like children’s day camps, educational workshops, music lessons and fitness lessons are just a few of the things that are hosted at the community space.
Connection and collaboration are part of the core values of the Ashcroft HUB Society, and so they are always growing to meet the community’s needs. The HUB works with over 20 organizations and businesses to make sure they identify any service gaps and then loop in partners to help fill them with programming or activities that will benefit the village. All fitness instructors, for classes like Zumba, Dance and Yoga, are fully certified with their respective institutes. You can also stay connected with the HUB through their new HUB Online Network (HON) that provides local digital content from local creators, including a twice weekly local news program, viewable on Youtube!
With over 3000 visits to the centre each month, the HUB is a space for everyone to feel welcome, to express themselves through movement or classes, and to feel included in their community. A true meeting place, the Ashcroft HUB Society is ready to have you visit and explore their programming today!

Meet Vicky Trill
The Ashcroft HUB Society’s vision is to increase community engagement and reduce rural population decline by providing more opportunities for community members to connect and come together. This movement is led by Vicky Trill, who saw opportunity in re-purposing the elementary school with a close group of other community members! Vicky is all about collaboration and innovation! She loves that her vocation of social entrepreneur allows her to practice these values daily. Vicky thinks that through collaboration, respecting ideas, and being inclusive small communities thrive!
When Vicky isn’t at the HUB she enjoys the fantastic weather in Ashcroft with a trip to the beach or spending time with her family outside! She is happy to work to provide a space that the Ashcroft’s residents, thriving art community and active seniors can use every day.
