Nestled in Ashcroft B.C., The Bloomin’ Paintbrush Art Studio & Garden is a dream realized for local artist Marilyn Anderson. Marilyn displays not only her own work in the studio but also has an artist in residence who paints regularly. The outdoor Art Courtyard adjoining the studio is a tranquil garden with plants and vibrant flowers, rock pathways, and a grassy area. It is truly a welcome retreat as one meanders through to view the new work of local artists and artisans which changes monthly. As well, art and music events, pop-up art sales and other events occur seasonally. The garden is open to the public from May to September, but the studio itself is open year-round. Art lessons and workshops are offered from October to April.

During the pandemic, Marilyn got busy developing her dream of an art courtyard with the goal of offering local artists a unique way to display their work to the public. Her vision evolved to include a bandstand. Today the Art Garden is truly a delightful showcase of life and colour as she presents magnificent local artwork, various music bands, and her own event Gospel in the Garden. Marilyn calls the Studio and Garden her happy place. She enjoys meeting and interacting with the public and she loves teaching. As a true artist, she is continually beautifying her space and street. Don’t be surprised to find her either at the easel creating a new art piece or practicing her music from the bandstand. Be sure to stop in and check out the studio, the garden, and the roster of events. It truly is a happy place at The Bloomin’ Paintbrush Art Studio and Garden.
