Meet Rena Johnson
Meet Rena Johnson
Rena Johnson is a country girl at heart, and living just outside of Williams Lake provides her with the best of two worlds. She is situated in nature where daily living is quiet and peaceful, but near enough to Williams Lake that it's just a short trip to town where she is able to find the things she needs and take advantage of the fabulous small businesses there. (Some of her favourites include "Red Shreds":https://lovewilliamslake.com/businesses/red-shreds-bike-board-shed, "The Bean Counter":https://lovewilliamslake.com/businesses/bean-counter-bistro-coffee-bar and "Alexander":https://lovewilliamslake.com/businesses/alexander-clothing-jewellery-gifts.) Says Rena, Williams Lake has a "family feel" and friendly people. These things make it easy to connect with others, and it provides a genuine sense of community that isn't readily available in big cities.
It was some life-changing events that caused Rena to pursue the notion of starting her own business. The idea of working for herself was an appealing one. Rena has always had a creative spirit and a knack for decorating, and owning The Rusty Bucket has given her lots of opportunities to explore her creative side. She gets joy out of picking items to sell in the shop and putting together beautiful displays that inspire visitors' own home decorating projects. She is proud of having taken her vision for her boutique and turned it into a reality.
Living in 150 Mile House provides Rena with many opportunities to interact with nature, and she enjoys spending time outdoors when she can. One of her other favourite things to do with her spare time is to spend it with family and friends.
