Meet Michelle Edge
Michelle Edge has sewn for years. When her family was young, she sewed mostly for them, making clothing and household items. But somewhere along the line her knack for creativity and craftiness became a business. It started casually . . . someone would comment on something she made and say, "oh, could you make me one?" and it wasn't long before she was selling her creations on a regular basis.
Besides being handy with a needle and thread, Michelle also has a talent for drawing. She focuses much of that effort on producing pen and ink drawings of historic buildings in and around the Cariboo. Her drawings appear in prints and on cards in local museums and gift shops.
Today, in addition to her many and ongoing craft and sewing projects, Michelle likes to spend time with her family. She's also an outdoorsy person and likes to spend time in her garden during the summer and go camping whenever she can get away. Here in the Cariboo, says Michelle, there are lots of wonderful places to camp and enjoy the outdoors without having to go very far.
