Meet Rainer Meyer
Rainer Meyer, along with his wife Ingrid, made their home in 108 Mile Ranch after emigrating from Germany in 2002. The couple both ran a successful therapeutic centre, which they left to their son to operate while abroad. With their extensive experience and training in health and wellness, the Meyers felt they were fit for the job in Canada. 100 Mile House had a limited supply of therapists, making the decision to start up a business an easy one for them.
Owning his own home-based business has been a blessing, says Rainer. The flexibility to create their own schedule has provided the couple with ample opportunities to explore their surroundings. Rainer enjoys leisurely strolls on the local trails and getting his hands messy with pottery classes.
It’s not only the natural setting that lured the Meyers to 100 Mile House. The wonderful community draws people in to stay, with caring residents and a ton of sporting activities. Rainer loves giving back to his community in as many ways as possible. He is especially fond of shopping local at the 108 Supermarket; a hidden gem that they frequent regularly.
