Meet Leanne Sallenback
Leanne and Bear had been coming to the Cariboo to relax and play for years. The time finally came where they decided to leave the hustle and bustle of the Lower Mainland behind and they then purchased the former Ponderosa Resort in 2019, which has been in successful operation for over 45 years.
The Sallenbacks are excited to put their own spin on the newly named South Point Resort, and with the inaugural opening season upon them, they are more than receptive to client feedback. Leanne has a lot of creative plans for the resort, and hopes to integrate even more outdoor recreation into the facility. Both she and Bear enjoy countless outdoor activities and have been spending a lot of time exploring the beautiful surroundings. For the entrepreneurial couple, the whole experience feels a little surreal. Leanne says they are extremely thankful for the opportunity “to live and work in the place you absolutely love.”
