Over 50 years ago, founder Frank Dobbs senior noticed there was a need for a feed and ranch supply store in 100 Mile House. Now, generations later the business is still serving their community, it looks like he may have been right!
The families of Frank Dobbs and Dan Kay are now the current owners behind the successful company. When speaking about what he enjoys most about being in business for himself, Kay extols who he spends his days alongside, “I have managed to find the greatest people to work with. I believe they all enjoy coming to work, which makes work a pleasure, rather than a chore.” 100 Mile Feed & Ranch Supply Ltd. is not only committed to exceptional customer service but an extraordinary experience as a whole. “I find it very gratifying when customers are excited or smiling after their shopping experience at the store. If I, or my wonderful staff have made their day, that's what matters the most,” explains Kay.
As committed participants to community involvement, the crew at 100 Mile Feed & Ranch Supply Ltd. is connected to over 20 local non-profits, charities or events. “I love supporting my community,” Kay proudly states. Kay is excited about the future of small business in 100 Mile and notes that most businesses in town are doing quite well due to influx of newcomers moving from other parts of the country.

They make mention of the friendliness around town and say it’s great to be near the outdoors. “No matter what you enjoy doing, whether it be camping; fishing, quading, cycling, hunting, swimming, skiing, or photography, it's all here,” says Kay.
