Meet Andrea Pollock & Baljeet Sandhu

Baljeet Sandhu and Andrea Pollock opened Eagle Close Executive B & B in 2015 in the Sandhu's family home. Custom built in 1995, the Sandhus raised their children in this quiet neighbourhood home. Once they grew up and left home, the Sandhus wanted to open up the space in their home to guests and offer their hospitality to visitors from around the world. Baljeet partnered with Andrea, a seasoned bed and breakfast owner who operates Tall Trees Bed and Breakfast in another part of Prince Rupert, as well as Island Sugar, another local business. Entertaining and serving are in both Andrea's and Baljeet's blood, so operating a bed and breakfast business was a perfect fit for them.

Both Baljeet and Andrea are deeply interwoven in the community of Prince Rupert and appreciative of its smallness. "I am connected to the people I am living with in Prince Rupert and I feel like I matter here," says Andrea. The two agree that it is easier to stand out in a small town, and it's also more rewarding to serve in one because you know that your efforts are truly needed and appreciated.

They also both love Prince Rupert's access to the outdoors, and the diverse and unique natural features of the terrain here. Taking part in outdoor activities is part and parcel of life on the northwest coast, and there are many to choose from. Andrea's personal favourites are running and golfing. She also enjoys cooking.
