Wildflowers Child Care

Children & Child Care

Wildflowers Child Care believes that children, like wildflowers, are a tapestry of incredible diversity, potential, curiosity, and hope. Their goal is to serve their rural community with early childhood education, social development and by creating a safe place and a sense of belonging for the children in the Hudson Hope/Beryl Prairie area.

Wildflowers’ rural setting is the perfect environment for children to flourish and enjoy their childhood; where discoveries are made, and curiosities quenched. Nature and outdoor play are good for each child’s development and mental health. At Wildflowers, children can learn through play, exploring the indoors and outdoors, music and movement, circle time, sensory, stories, puzzles, blocks, dramatic play and one another.

Wildflowers offers affordable child care, and an enrichment program, staffed with a certified ECE, ITE, SNE teacher. Every child from infant to school age is welcome at Wildflowers Child Care.

Provincially Licensed Multi-aged Family Daycare.

Meet Trina Commandeur

Owner Trina Commandeur saw a need in her community for a licensed and provincially regulated daycare facility that also offers a morning enrichment program. Wildflowers has partnered with the province to participate in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative and the Affordable Child Care Benefit. Trina has always been passionate about children's rights, and their sense of belonging. Through her wonderful daycare, with its focus on outdoor activities, play and exploration, she fosters a sense of community and wellbeing for the children and their parents. Trina thinks families deserve to feel at ease knowing their child is being cared for and respected as the beautiful individual they are.
During her down time, Trina loves to spend time outdoors, with her horses, collecting seeds and fishing!
