Eleanor Stewart knows a good thing when she sees it. Not only does she have an eye for beautiful art pieces and decor, she has also found paradise in her community of Smithers. “Smithers is about the people,” shares the Illyria owner. “I believe that they create the framework for what makes our little town great.” According to Eleanor, there are many entrepreneurial-minded residents throughout the Bulkley Valley, and it is small business that makes the region so special. She has put all of her energy into creating a viable business that will serve the community well; encouraging the local economy, growth and prosperity of our region. Not without mention is her friendly service, always greeting customers with a smile. Now that Eleanor's business is off the ground and running, she is fully immersed in the excitement of developing her brand and shopping experience. When she has a moment to slip away from her passion, this entrepreneur thoroughly enjoys exploring the backcountry, foraging for local edibles, expanding on her gardening skills, and capturing the beauty around her through photography. Often Eleanor finds inspiration from her excursions in the untamed wilderness surrounding her home.
