Meet Megan & Guillermo Angel

Meet Megan & Guillermo Angel

Megan Angel grew up in the Cariboo, and as her story would play out, she met the love of her life, Guillermo Angel, a native to Colombia, South America. The blossoming pair settled for a decade in the Okanagan, but never really felt the camaraderie and community cohesiveness they were yearning for. Megan felt the pull towards her hometown in Williams Lake, appreciating the endless opportunities for exploration and community involvement.

The Angel family have beautifully blended their Canadian and South American customs in a way that honours both of their roots. With a young daughter now keeping life busy and full of excitement, both Megan and Guillermo feel it is important to teach her the importance of family and her Latin American heritage. It is equally rewarding to share a little of their Colombian home with the rest of Williams Lake and beyond.

Megan feels optimistic about the economic future of her community, with residents clearly supporting small business in every way possible. “Williams Lake is expanding,” says Megan. “Especially in terms of families moving to the area and I think they want what's best for children and community.” She loves the opportunity to get to know her customers on a first-name basis. In small towns, a transaction is more than just a purchase. For Megan and Guillermo, it’s about connections and establishing those relationships.
